Join Floating Art in celebrating the Lunar New Year at Ducie Street by crafting your very own lantern! This tradition often includes personalising lanterns, and we’ll guide you through the creative process.
You’ll learn how to create your own lantern and decorate it using Chinese Brush Painting. Participants will use traditional materials, including bamboo brushes, ink, and vibrant mineral paints.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and up so if you haven’t picked up a paint brush since school or you regularly paint in your own time, everybody is welcome to create together.
What you’ll get:

• Protective equipment such as aprons.
What to bring
• Comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little paint on.
