The festive season is upon us, and Ducie Street Warehouse is getting into the seasonal spirit (and spirits!). But let’s be honest, when do we ever need an excuse to throw a party? But since we have one, we’re throwing an entire range of celebrations to mark the holidays. So fetch into your glitziest outfit, grab your pals, and get down to Ducie for one (or five!) of our festive season flings.
When only creativity and booze will do, get along to one of our Drink & Draw nights with a Christmas twist all December long. Held each Thursday, D&D provides the opportunity for you to inflict your art on our tables… covered in yards of art paper, of course. So draw, paint, or perhaps even crayon your creative vision onto our makeshift canvas. Your host will encourage you to create while encouraging competition as you sip a beverage of your choice and soak in creativity-inducing electronic sounds from the Apple Tree decks. Sessions will be held on Thursday, 8, 15, and 22 December.
Ducie Disco Brunch: Festive Editions
Ducie Street Disco Brunches are a Manchester institution, so is it any wonder we’d be glamming them up another notch for the festive season? Each one is themed and will host unique entertainment – why not try the Me Gusto Festive Disco Brunch on the 10th or join us for Manchester-based collective Stells Selections hosting on the 17th? Then we have a Christmas Eve Brunch, followed by a Boxing Day special in case you need more after Christmas day. Or perhaps ring in 2023 with a New Years’ Eve Brunch hosted by Girls On Film. Each event features bottomless cocktails, fantastic music and a non-stop party to elevate your experience. Booking is essential for these, so book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Want something a little different for your Christmas eve? Get along to Ducie’s mini cinema for a special The Lady and the Tramp screening at our Pawpcorn session. Bring your furry canine friend along and enjoy pooches with a glass of hooch while waiting for the famous meatball scene to warm the cockles of your heart. The session is from 2PM-4PM on Sat 24 Dec 2022 – please bring only housetrained and friendly pups and humans for this very special cinema event.
Christmas At Ducie Street: Tis the season!
No festive season would be complete without the Ducie Christmas Day extravaganza! Christmas day will be bigger and better than ever as we’ll be throwing a proper celebration at the warehouse and pulling out all the stops. It’ll be a Christmas Lunch to remember – think of all the trimmings with a selection of seasonal starters and desserts to compliment the array of roasts, including turkey, beef, nut roast, and spiced sweet potato wellington.
